Question
This article demonstrates how to use the UNSECURE_ONSTAT configuration parameter to disable the restriction of using onstat options -g ses, -g sql, -g stm and -g ssc to members of DBSA group only.
Answer
INTRODUCTION
The onstat options -g ses, -g sql, -g stm and -g ssc display information about the SQL statements being executed by the server. For security reasons, it needs to be restricted to members of DBSA group only.
For a customer who has existing applications or scripts that require non-DBSA users to use these options, a new ONCONFIG configuration parameter UNSECURE_ONSTAT has been introduced.
UNSECURE_ONSTAT parameter was introduced in IDS versions 9.40.xC7 and 10.00.xC2.
