IBM 8000系列存储更换硬盘操作手册

1、 登陆HMC，选择故障的部件，走HMC Repair流程更换备件；

2、 更换流程如下：

Attention: Thisis not a stand-alone procedure. Customer disruption and damage to the hardwaremight occur if microcode and power boundaries are not in the proper conditionsfor this service action. Ensure you have been directed here by a parts exchangeprocedure.

Notes:

·        All the cables and FRUs to beremoved must be uniquely identified so they can be reinstalled correctly.

·        If an installed earthquake resistance kit prevents you from accessing this FRU,refer to MAP1600.

一、Remove thedisk drive module

Always handle a defective disk drive module carefully. Damage todefective disk drive modules can have a negative effect on failure analysistest results and warranty recovery.

1.    Tolocate this FRU, do one of the following and then return here and continue toreplace the FRU:

·        If this FRU has a FRU identifyindicator, use the FRU identify indicator, which is listed in MAP1240Locating FRUs using identify indicators .If not, use the location code.

Note: Theremay be cases where the FRU failure or fencing conditions prevent the FRU LEDindicator from being lit even if the FRU has power.

·        Use the location code, which islisted in MAP1245Finding FRUs using location codes .

·        If there is no FRU identifyindicator or location code, you were sent here by an isolation MAP or symbolicFRU procedure. Use the information in that procedure as well as the figures inthis procedure to locate the proper part to exchange.

2.    Most,but not all, FRUs have identify indicators. Use the blinking amber FRU identifyindicators to ensure that you are working on the correct enclosure and/or FRU.

·        The "light path" identify LEDs are a hierarchy of LEDsthat can identify the rack, enclosure, FRU, and even the FRU connector to whicha cable is connected.

·        For more information, reference MAP1240Locating FRUs using identify indicators .

3.    Pressthe blue latch  to releasethe Disk Drive Module (DDM) handle. See Figure1.

4.    Pullthe handle

out and to your left. This actionpartly ejects the DDM out of its slot.

5.    Liftthe DDM

gently up as you pull it out of theslot. This prevents any components on the bottom of the DDM from coming incontact with the DDM or chassis surfaces below it.

二、Install thedisk drive module

Attention: Ifyou bring a disk drive module into the operating environment from an area thatis outside the normal operating temperature of 20 - 25 degrees C (66 - 77degrees F), allow the disk drive module time to acclimate to the operatingenvironment. Remove the disk drive module from any shipping package, leave thedisk drive module in the sealed plastic bag (if present) to preventcondensation from forming.

1.    Removethe factory-sealed wrapping from the new disk drive module only when you areready to install it.

2.    Beforeinstalling the disk drive module, open the disk drive module handle by pressingthe blue latch and pulling the handle open. SeeFigure1.

3.    Holdthe DDM at a slight up angle as you place it into the slot in the storageenclosure. Continue keep a gentle upward pressure as you slide it fully intothe slot. The drive stops before it is fully seated. See Figure2.

4.    Pushthe disk drive modules handle to the right until it is latched closed.

5.    Verifythat the front of the new disk drive module is aligned with the other diskdrive modules.

6.    Exitthis service information center parts exchange procedure and return to theprocedure that sent you here.
