DB2_PARALLEL_IO

To the essence, the impacts of DB2_PARALLEL_IO registry variable are:

(1) affecting NUM_IOSERVERS value, if it’s set to AUTOMATIC;

(2) affecting PREFETCHSIZE of tablespaces, if it’s et to AUTOMATIC;

(3) affecting prefetch request size of tablespace with single container.

In DB2 pureScale environment, the default value for DB2_PARALLEL_IO is “*”, otherwise, the default is NULL.
