DB2 pureScale available on X86 Platform

DB2 pureScale is first introduced on IBM PowerHA based architecture to create shared-disk clusters. This inherits Parallel Sysplex technology from DB2 z/OS, so "the parentage is noble", and the actual availabilty and scalibity is much better than Oracle RAC.

 

Now with DB2 V9.8 FP2, IBM made DB2 pureScale available on X86 servers. That's great information, will find sometime to play with this with cheap boxes.
