IBM全球软件技术专家进社区 8月21日下午14:00-15:00专访
非常高兴，WebSphere中国社区能够邀请到三位IBM顶级软件专家来社区内进行专访。本次邀请的三位专家分别来自IBM不同的软件产品线（Lotus、WebSphere、Information Management-IM），他们将于8月21日（本周二）下午14:00-15:00接受WebSphere中国社区的在线专访。
在此之前，我们已经从Lotus中国社区（www.lotuschina.net）、DB2中国社区（www.db2china.net）和WebSphere中国社区（www.webspherechina.net）收集和整理了大概10来个社区会员关心问题。在本次专访中，我们会一股脑儿的抛出来，聆听各位专家的高见。当然，您也可以在线提出您遇到的问题，在时间允许的情况下，三位专家会进行解答。

张岭(Zhang Ling) ——Architect, Lotus Connections
Zhang Ling is a Senior Technical Staff Member at IBM Collaboration Solutions team of IBM China Development Lab. He is IBM Connections (the enterprise social collaboration platform) development lead and globalization architect of IBM Connections product. He joined IBM in 2003 and took various technical roles in IBM User Technology and IBM Collaboration Solutions teams.
Zhang Ling received his Ph.D. of Computer Science from Shanghai JiaoTong University and is currently the member of IBM Academy of Technology.
Dan Wolfson——Chief architect/CTO for the InfoSphere segment of the IBM Information Management Division of the IBM Software Group
Dan Wolfson is an IBM Distinguished Engineer and the chief architect/CTO for the InfoSphere segment of the IBM Information Management Division of the IBM Software Group. He is responsible for architecture and technical leadership across the rapidly growing areas of InfoSphere including Tools, Information Integration, Master Data Management, Metadata Management and Industry Models.
Dan has over 30 years of experience in research and commercial distributed computing, covering a broad range of topics. He has written numerous papers and is the co-author of “Enterprise Master Data Management: An SOA Approach to Managing Core Business Information”. Dan is a member of the IBM Academy of Technology Leadership Team and an IBM Master Inventor. In 2010, Dan was also recognized by the Association of Computing Machinery (ACM) as a ACM Distinguished Engineer.
Stephen J Kinder——STSM, WAS Virtualization and SOA Architect
Steve Kinder has worked with IBM for more than 20 years. He is a Senior Technical Staff Member with primary responsibilities for WebSphere Virtualization and SOA technologies. Steve began his career in MVS operating system development and transitioned to middle-ware as part of the initial WebSphere for z/OS architecture team. He has led the integration of transaction, JMS and SOA technologies in WebSphere, and has a long history of enterprise customer engagements.

IBM understands that VMWare virtualization is critical to our existing customers and we will ensure our middleware can be leveraged by customers well in this environment. Also, IBM will continue to invest in open source community, for example KVM, OpenStack, and etc, and help the community to grow. With that, IBM could provide another alternative solution to the customers. Another side, IBM has deep skill on some hardware platforms, like Power and Z platforms, so IBM will continue to work on those platforms to provide competitive solution which include improvements which exploit hardware to provide additional value such as security and density.

中国市场对IBM来说是非常重要的市场，对Sametime来说同样也是如此。去年Sametime发布了ST 852 IFR1，我们称之为中国功能包。Sametime 8.5.2 IFR1里面有很多功能需求来源于中国客户，面向中国客户，例如离线消息，文件传输，组织结构图等等。我们还在一直来自于客户和开发者社区的反馈来持续提升我们的产品。Sametime不仅是一个即时通讯工具，更是一个协作平台。它提供了丰富集成的统一通讯能力，比如telephony，还有音视频会议，desktop sharing. 它可以轻松无缝的与企业现有电话邮件系统集成。同时它提供了很好的安全保障并且支持企业级大规模部署，通过Samtime SDK你还可以扩展和定制Sametime。
从产品线来讲，Sametime有非常清楚的长期目标，与其他IBM社交软件一起提供良好的企业级协作解决方案 包括notes, connections, portal。同时你还可以通过多种渠道比如desktop, mobile访问这些协作工具。
基于对中国的信心和期望，IBM在中国已经建立了一个很强的开发团队。这个团队在852 IFR1的开发做了大量的工作，不少重要的功能都是由这个团队完成的。同时他们还发表了不少关于Sametime的文章，讲座，这些都是非常好的中文资料，大家可以从developerworks上看到。我们将会继续这么做下去，跟本地的开发者社区还有合作伙伴一起在国内提升Sametime。收起

Firstly, new things come back around. SOA has always been about capturing business value in enterprise application environment in best practices. Those best practices are still the best practice.
Basically, the cloud strategy is aligned with SOA solution, there is no conflict between them. And actually, SOA is one of the fundamental technology of cloud technology, and the cloud will leverage SOA as well as make SOA solutions simpler to implement. Generally speaking, IBM is continues to support SOA.
首先, 新事物就是一个轮回. SOA 始终在企业应用环境中创造商业价值, 并仍然是最佳实践.
