An Informix Database–Fortified ARM Ecosystem
Press release: See how the Informix database empowers advanced, enterprise-class ARM-based servers

To address the demand for high-performance, energy efficient solutions, HP is extending the reach of the growing ARM architecture ecosystem. The HP ProLiant Moonshot ARM-64 Developer Program, part of the HP AllianceOne program, is expected to enable developers to test and port code stacks and solutions to the ARM architecture. Through this program, developers can design software on ARM-based 64-bit systems by remotely accessing the HP ProLiant Moonshot Discovery Lab.

In addition, the ARM ecosystem on the HP ProLiant Moonshot servers will be further expanded with the pre-installed IBM® Informix® database and the pre-installed Ubuntu platform and Juju and Metal-as-a-Service (MaaS) orchestration tools from Canonical. Informix, which runs the advanced HP ProLiant Moonshot microserver architecture, offers a combination of flexible grid technology and efficient data architecture that can enable commercial-grade workloads to take advantage of these advanced servers.
