PowerVC简要配置手册
HMC: 9.123.xx.xx labuser/passw0rd (1 P720 is being managed 。 PowerVC 不支持 Power5 ，必须是 Power6 以上。 HMC Model CR5 or later ， HMC 版本最低要求是 7.7.8.0)
V7000: 9.123.xx.xx labuser/passw0rd
SAN Switch: 9.123.xx.xx labuser/passw0rd （如果需要测试 PowerVC Standard Edition ， SAN Switch 需要是 Brocade 16Gb 、 Firmware 6.4 或以上，除了 SAN24B-5 和 SAN48B-5 ， IBM Flex System FC5022 16 GB Scalable Switch 也是 Brocade 16Gb 的）
pLinux LPAR for PowerVC installation: 9.123.xx.xx root/passw0rd
Software Package is under /tmp/software
OS Image Template : SN06B7F5T with LPAR Name: template
如果要测试 Shared Storage Pool ， HMC 需要 v8.8.1.0 或以上
如果要测试 PowerKVM ，就需要 POWER8 ， HMC v8.8.1.0
Installation
- Mount the RHEL 6.5 ISO as a repository （如果是 PowerVC 1.2.1.0 以上版本，估计还是 RHEL 6.5 经过较多的测试）
mount –o loop /dev/sr0 /mnt/cdrom
create /etc/yum.repos.d/local.repo file, including following contents

name=local
baseurl=file:///mnt/cdrom/Server
gpgcheck=0
enabled=1
CentOS 6.5 也是可行的，但是 PowerVC 的 Install 和 Update 脚本都会报错退出，需要绕过去
- Check on selinux, /etc/hosts
selinux: /etc/selinux/config -> selinux=disabled/permissive 修改这个 selinux 配置后需要重启操作系统？
/etc/hosts: 9.123.xx.x lab0x.cn.ibm.com lab0x
- Unzip the PowerVC 1.2.1.0 package, run installation scripts
- Unzip the PowerVC 1.2.1.2 package, run update scripts
- Add HMC Connection as well as the Power Host (9.123.xxx.xx labuser/passw0rd)
- Add Storage Connection and SAN SW into (V7000:9.123.xx.xxx labuser/passw0rd) (SW: 9.123.xx.xxx labuser/passw0rd)
Created the SAN fabric and disabled the physically disconnected Fibre Channel ports (in the "Configuration" menu).
Created the static network to be used for to-be-deployed LPARs
User Scenarios
- Capture Image
- Using the template VM
- Manage the existing virtual machines for “template”
- Start up the “template” LPAR
- Run AE scripts to make sure the activating engine will be available for capture
- Deploy Image
- Input name, host policy (optional), compute template, network vlan
- Click deploy
